The eighteenth hour of Sun-Day brings with it a bounty of midrange sadness and lonesome guitars. Recorded sometime in 2008, next to an open window blowing in the breeze (and occasional windchime), SD18 inhabits the same family of sound as Eight Thousander, Blue Wheatfield and many other of my ambient guitar works. In these recordings, all live takes with no overdubs, you can feel the billowing wind that only comes on before a big storm, and you can smell the sweetness in the air.
